The celebrated SkyShowtime Original series Veronika is returning for its third season, with Alexandra Rapaport reprising her role as police officer Veronika Gren, alongside Arvin Kananian as her partner Nassir, and Sarah Rodin as Veronika’s daughter Liv. The series will premiere exclusively on the streamer on March 26, 2026.
Just three months after the premiere of season two, SkyShowtime’s first multi-market recommission returns with a new theme and a haunting small-town backdrop. Spanning six episodes, Veronika, now more at ease with her unusual abilities, is drawn into a disturbing new case.
The third season is directed by writer, director, and award-winning musician Alexis Almström, known for Top Dog, Pink CloudSyndrome, and JJ+E. Additional new cast for this season include Per Lasson, Martin Van Engers Hendrikse, and Ulf Stenberg.
“It was incredibly exciting to dive into Veronika’s mysterious world, together with the absolutely fantastic cast. I’ve wanted to explore this genre for a long time, and being able to do so now – while also revealing a previously unexplored side of Älvsbruk – adds an entirely new dimension to the story.’’
Alexis Almström, Director
In the third season, Veronika struggles to keep her family together after Tomas’ accident while battling PTSD and increasingly intense visions. When Nils, the son of speedway rider Tom goes missing, the entire town of Älvsbruk is thrown into a massive search effort. He is soon found dead, and a complex murder investigation unfolds. Suspicions fall on the speedway team, the local biker gang, and people close to Nils, as hidden conflicts and long-buried secrets begin to surface. Veronika’s visions become a key to understanding what is truly happening, even as relationships strain and pressure mounts. The investigation twists in unexpected directions and leads to a shocking revelation that changes everything. Ultimately, the season culminates in a defining moment that forces Veronika to make a difficult decision – one that will shape her family’s future.
