Starring acclaimed Swedish actress, Alexandra Rapaport (‘Sandhamn Murders’, ‘Gåsmamman’, ‘Honour’) and Norwegian actor Tobias Santelmann (‘Kon-Tiki’, ‘Exit,’ ‘Those Who Kill’), SkyShowtime just released a trailer for their new crime thriller series with a paranormal twist, ‘Veronika‘.
Releasing it globally on SkyShowtime 22 March 2024, the streamer aims to captivate their audiences this Easter with the new original series directed by Jonas Alexander Arnby (‘War of the Worlds’) and created and written by Katja Juras and Anna Ströman Lindblom (‘Gåsmamman’).
In the eight-episode series of ‘Veronika’, we follow police officer Veronika Gren (Alexandra Rapaport) in a small suburban town, where she struggles with an addiction alongside challenges in her complicated family life. The sight of a dead boy makes Veronika question her sanity, but when she realizes it might not be an illusion, it leads to a complex murder investigation, forcing Veronika to uncover connections between several murder cases to prevent new tragedies from happening.
Besides Rapaport and Santelmann, other Nordic cast members include Arvin Kananian, Olle Sarri, Isac Calmroth, Per Graffman, Sarah Rhodin, Wilma Lidén, and Eddie Eriksson Dominguez.
