Nordisk Film & TV Fond promotes Nordic audiovisual productions of high quality by providing funding in the form of top financing for production of feature films, TV films/drama series and creative documentaries in the five Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden). The Fund was established in 1990, and is based in Oslo. Liselott Forsman is the Fund’s CEO.
Nordisk Film & TV Fond is secretariat to the prestigious Nordic Council Film Prize, is the main sponsor of the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize and arranges and hosts the annual event Nordic Talents.
Nordisk Film & TV Fond’s funding programmes are:
- Production funding for feature films
- Production funding for TV-film/drama series
- Production funding for documentaries
- Funding for distribution (single film)
- Slate funding for distribution (up to three films)
- Funding for dubbing
- Funding for industry initiatives
- Funding for strategic development (only upon request by the Fund)
Scandinavian Film Funds
Scandinavian Film Funds I is the first Nordic investment fund for structured, professional financing and distribution of market-oriented and state-subsidized feature films. The mission is to invest in and distribute more than 75 state-supported feature films in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland between 2021-2026.
