SkyShowtime has revealed a first look clip, new key art, and images for the anticipated upcoming sequel of the acclaimed Swedish thriller series Veronika, which will premiere on the streaming platform on December 8, 2025. The sequel marks the first local original series to be recommissioned by SkyShowtime.

The first season of Veronika follows police officer Veronika Gren (Alexandra Rapaport), a mother of two with a secret pill addiction, as she investigates the murders of two teenage girls, uncovering disturbing truths within her community. In the second season, Veronika continues to struggle with her mysterious visions while trying to return to normal life on the police force, but a new murder case draws her into a 60-year-old mystery. Haunted by the ghosts of her past, she is forced to navigate a dangerous boundary between the living and the dead, threatening the fragile stability she has tried to rebuild.

The original creators and writers of Veronika, Anna Ströman Lindblom and Katja Juras, return for the second season, joined once again by producers Calle Jansson and Mathias Gruffmans from Bigster, with Alexandra Rapaport as Executive Producer. The new season is directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Mikael Håfström (Evil, 1408).

Alexandra Rapaport (Gåsmamman, Honour) returns as police officer Veronika Gren, alongside Tobias Santelmann (Exit, The Arctic Convoy) as her husband. The stellar ensemble also includes returning cast members Arvin Kananian (Triangle of Sadness, Caliphate), Eddie Eriksson Dominguez, (Beck), and Sarah Rhodin (Mirakel). New cast members joining the team include Hanna Alström (Kingsman) and Gustav Hammarsten (Together).
