Netflix Unveils Trailer for Norwegian Disaster Series ‘La Palma’

La Palma Netflix miniseries

Netflix has released a trailer for the four-episode Norwegian disaster miniseries La Palma. Starring acclaimed actors Anders Baasmo (Power Play, The Arctic Convoy), and Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (Westworld, The Seed), the series promises an intense and dramatic narrative.

Produced by the creators behind disaster-film hits The Wave, The Quake, and The Burning Sea, Netflix asserts that the grand-scale production of La Palma raises the bar for visual effects in Norway, featuring stunning and captivating sequences. The series will premiere on Netflix on December 12, 2024.

It’s been exciting for us to use the disaster genre in a TV series format where we can get even closer to the characters while telling the story on a massive scale. The series shows ordinary people’s limits being tested in the event of a disaster and how they push themself to overcome fears. La Palma also pushes the boundaries of what’s possible to achieve with visual effects in a Norwegian TV series. We hope people see that we have put our heart and soul into creating something entertaining and spectacular.
