TV 2 has announced that the anticipated second season of the Norwegian hit series Nepobaby, created by actor/comedian Henriette Steenstrup and co-created with Siri Seljeseth, will premiere on TV 2 Play on August 28.
Following its breakout debut last year, Nepobaby quickly became a major audience favorite, drawing 1.1 million viewers and achieving a remarkable 100% completion rate.
According to TV 2’s Head of Programming, Trygve Rønningen, the series has “broken all previous TV 2 Play records,” further cementing its status as a flagship title for the broadcaster.
The series has also earned international recognition, winning Best Ensemble Cast and Best Screenplay at the prestigious Canneseriesfestival. In Norway, it is currently nominated for four Gullruten awards, including Best Drama Series.

Season two picks up directly where the first season left off. Emma (Vivild Falk Berg) has gained control of the powerful A-share in the Bullmann family’s shipping empire, an inheritance that is unlikely to bring stability to the already dysfunctional family.
The new season sees the ensemble cast return, including Vivild Falk Berg, Henriette Steenstrup, Nicolai Cleve Broch, Helle Ryg Eia, Kristin Grue, Deniz Kaya, and Cathrine Frost, as the story continues to explore the Bullmann family’s shifting power dynamics. A new character is also introduced: Aunt Lisen, played by Petronella Barker, who arrives from England for a family ash-scattering ceremony, further heightening tensions.
