European streamer SkyShowtime has just released a full trailer for End of Summer (Slutet på sommaren), a six-part original series based on the acclaimed bestselling book series Seasons Quartetby Swedish crime writer and former police officer Anders de la Motte.
Created by Björn Carlström (Föräldramötet, The Hunters) and Stefan Thunberg (Föräldramötet, Farang), this Swedish mystery drama seriesfeaturesJulia Ragnarsson (Midsummer, The Bridge) and Erik Enge (Black Crab, Tigers) in leading roles. End of Summer is set for a Nordic premiere on November 11 at the upcoming Stockholm International Film Festival, followed by its release on SkyShowtime on December26.

Synopsis
The story begins in summer 1984 with 5-year-old Billy disappearing in rural Sweden, and the inconclusive police investigation that follows, shattering the family. Two decades later, Billy’s sister Vera (Ragnarsson), meets a hauntingly familiar young man (Enge), which forces her to unravel the truth behind her brother’s disappearance.

In addition to Julia Ragnarsson and Erik Enge as leads, key supporting roles in the series are played by Simon J. Berger (Exit, Modus), Torkel Petersson (Kopps, Off Track), and Vilhelm Blomgren (Clark, Midsummer). Other supporting roles include Ellen Nikka, Lars Schilken, Linus James Nilsson, Akay Jasarovski, Henrik Norlén, and Ida Gyllensten.
End of Summer is helmed by Jens Jonsson (Young Wallander, The Hunters) and Henrik Georgsson (The Bridge, The Man Who Played with Fire). Per Janérus at Harmonica Films has produced the film in co-production with SF Studios and Film i Skåne, and executive producers are Anders de la Motte, Jens Jonsson, Tim King, Joakim Rang Strand, Sara Askelöf, Camilla Rydbacken, and Helena Larand.
