Currently filming amidst the dramatic and picturesque landscapes of Oppdal, between Dovre and Trollheimen, the project is being teased as a deeply emotional journey. Producers Espen Horn and Terje Strømstad describes the film’s core vision as a Norwegian take on E.T., centering on a living, breathing troll at its heart that they believe will resonate with a massive global audience

The production team has revealed a strong lineup of Norwegian talent to lead the adventure, featuring Helena Horge-Trømborg stars as 12-year-old Gaia, alongside Iben Akerlie (Vikingane, Make It Mix, Project Z), Benjamin Helstad (Ragnarok, Rådebank, King of Devil’s Island) and John Emil Jørgensrud (Milf of Norway, Pørni, Luka and The Magical Theater).
Helming the ambitious project is award-winning filmmaker Andrea Eckerbom, who brings extensive family-film experience from titles like Teddy’s Christmas and Superhero Academy. Global sales are being handled by Reinvent Yellow Sales, and the film is scheduled to make its theatrical debut in Norway in autumn 2027.
