Netflix Confirmes Season 2 of Danish Crime Hit ‘The Asset’

Clara Dessau as Sara/Tea and Maria Cordsen as Ashley in the The Asset (Legenden)

Netflix has announced the renewal of the highly successful Danish crime thriller series The Asset (Legenden), which debuted on the streamer in October 2025. The series quickly became a global hit, reaching number 1 in 52 countries and landing in Top 10 in 90 more, with 11.3 million views. The Asset follows a young female agent sent deep undercover to infiltrate a drug smuggler’s inner circle by befriending his wife.

“It’s truly heartwarming to see how well The Asset has been received. We’re thrilled for the opportunity to dive deeper into each character and unfold their stories for our viewers. This second season turns everything upside down as Tea and Ashley’s worlds collide once again and new challenges push them to their breaking point.

Samanou Acheche Sahlstrøm, Conceptual Director

Season 2 promises to flip the story on its head, once again forcing Tea and Ashley into a dangerous collision. The production will begin in Copenhagen in 2026 (exact dates not announced), reuniting cast members Clara Dessau as the undercover agent Tea Lind; Afshin Firouzi as the crime-boss Miran; Maria Cordsen as Miran’s girlfriend; and Nicolas Bro as Tea’s supervisor Folke, alongside other returning actors.

Samanou Acheche Sahlstrøm returns as Conceptual Director and Head Writer for the series, alongside producers Jacob Jarek and Marta Mleczek, joined by Matilda Appelin. The series is produced by Copenhagen-based production house Profile Pictures, known for The Apprentice (2024), Holy Spider (2022), and Speak No Evil (2022), among others.
