Netflix has released the official trailer for The Storm (Stormen), a Swedish character-driven dark comedy feature by Baby Reindeerdirector Josephine Bornebusch, who also plays one of the central roles in the film. It is set to launch globally on Netflix on October 15, 2026, with a domestic premiere in select Swedish theatres on October 2.
Set in northern Sweden, The Storm takes place during a 45th birthday dinner that turns increasingly chaotic when a violent storm traps a group of friends together at a newly purchased farm estate. As a power outage and snowstorm cut them off from the outside world, tensions within the group begin to surface, with old conflicts, secrets, and unresolved feelings threatening to disrupt the celebrations.

The Storm is written and directed by Josephine Bornebusch. Sofia Plage has produced the film for Warner Bros. International Television Production(WBITVP) Sweden, with Johan Hedman serving as executive producer. The creative team includes director of photography Susanne Salavati, production designer Catharina Nyqvist Ehrnrooth, editor Sarah Patient Nicastro, and composer Andreas Tengblad.
