The Swedish crime drama success Fallen (Sanningen) has commenced filming of the highly anticipated second season, starring Sofia Helin, best known for her portrayal of Saga Norén in The Bridge (Bron). Helin returns in her role as Iris Broman, now leading the Cold Case team in Malmö. Following a breakout first season that drew more than 1.4 million Swedish viewers per episode, the new season is slated for release on TV4 in Sweden in late 2025.
In the upcoming season of Fallen, a new case lands on Iris Broman’s table: a body has been found buried outside Ystad near a mansion. At the same time, a documentary is being made about an old cold case. Can the cases be linked? Just as the investigation gains momentum, Iris receives a message from her former colleague Adam in Stockholm. The message has unforeseen consequences and brings a new, exciting dynamic to the group.
“It’s so great that so many appreciated our series! I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to portray Iris again and give the audience the continuation of this story.”
