Starring award-winning Swedish and Danish comedians Jesper Rönndahl and Martin Høgsted in a collaborative writing and acting project, the filming of the (still untitled) new action-comedy series begins this week. In addition to writing and acting, Martin Høgsted is also directing the series produced by SF Studios in co-production with SVT. It is expected to debut on SVT in spring 2025, subsequently airing on TV2 in Denmark.
As a half-Danish, it has always bothered me that Swedes and Danes don’t understand each other, and this series started a bit like an integration project – at least for me! But then it has evolved from just being the comedy version of The Bridge to being Snabba Cash meets Beverly Hills Cop. And I get to do a lot of stunts!

The series centres on border police officers Johan and Rasmus, with action taking place on the border between Sweden and Denmark. Their duty is to prevent Swedish travellers from bringing excessive alcohol from Denmark onto the ferry bound for Sweden.
With opposite personalities and different approaches to their jobs, the narrative is set for an action-packed mission with an unforeseen friendship between the two border police officers when they cross paths while chasing a gun-armed man who has accidentally been allowed on board the ferry.
There is nothing that unites people like laughter, yet there has never before been a comedy series where Swedes and Danes can laugh together. Not until now. We will laugh at those little details that separate us. It is surprising how similar Swedes and Danes really are. The series is not only a bromance between Johan and Rasmus, but also a bromance between our neighboring countries

In addition to the leading roles played by Martin Høgsted and Jesper Rönndahl, the cast of the action-comedy series features, among others, Klara Zimmergren and Madelene Martin.
It is a privilege for SVT to be able to present a Danish-Swedish comedy series with two highly celebrated and respected comedians in Sweden and Denmark respectively. The audience can look forward to a multi-layered humorous gem with tension, cultural clashes, tough cops and lots of laughs
