The award-winning Norwegian hit series by actress/comedian Henriette Steenstrup (‘Beware of Children’, Ragnarok’) has had a very successful run with its previous 3 seasons, and Netflix has now announced the launch of seasons 4 and 5 of ‘Pørni’ (also known as ‘Porni’) on the streamer. Launch dates have not yet been determined.
With seasons 1-3 now available on Netflix, the global streamer debuts as the new home for the Norwegian comedy-drama series produced by Monster in co-production with Viaplay.
The initial reception to the first three seasons of Pørni has been remarkably positive and I am thrilled that the upcoming seasons will debut on Netflix – I hope that fans of Pørni will continue to tune in, and perhaps the series will even attract a new fresh audience, who will be intrigued by Pørni’s relatable, but occasionally chaotic, and sometimes cringe-worthy, life

Described by Netflix as a joyful, heart-warming, and relatable series with a dash of humor and, not least, chaos. The Norwegian series revolves around the middle-aged single mother Pernille (Henriette Steenstrup), also known as “Pørni,” who fumbles through everyday life with three teenagers while caring for her aging father and navigating a job within child care and faces relatable challenges aplenty.
In season 4, Pørni has established a stable life with her new relationship the past two years. However, her newfound stability is unexpectedly shaken up when Bjørnar returns to Oslo, assuming Yngvar’s previous chief position at work. Can they continue as colleagues and friends, or will their history get in the way of things?
